The locomotive muscles in the chest and as well as the neck aid in the contraction and expansion of the vocal cords while producing lower and higher sounds.

Also note that head voice is not chest voice.
Chest Voice is heard with the contraction and squeezing of the muscles of your vocal cords. Moreso, when your voice is lowered and your back or your stomach growls.

The head voice is obtained when you feel a vibration in your head and upper part of your neck.

If you have a little boy in your home or neighborhood, do well to mimic his or her voice.
If you feel relaxed while doing this, it means you’re in the right track but if you’re straining your voice and neck to do it then know you ain’t doing it correctly because as a singer, you have to be relaxed while singing or using the falsetto voice.

After that, do well to increase the pitch without necessarily increasing the volume.
This should be done without the chest vibrating and if it does vibrate then you have left your falsetto.
With an open and a curve mouth, imitate an oooh sound and run your scale with your normal voice up to your falsetto voice and descend the same way you went. While doing this, make sure your chest isn’t vibrating but if it does, it means you are not getting it so stop and start again till you get it.
Also make sure you’re relaxed and not tensed while doing this exercise.
In order for you not to mar the process, do well to position your shoulders wide and loosed.
